Universal Robina Corporation’s subsidiary in Thailand recently earned two major honors at the 2022 FDA Quality Awards presented last December by the Ministry of Public Health. With wins in two categories, URC Thailand solidifies its reputation as one of its country’s top quality food producers.
URC Thailand duly earned the awards after meeting the Thai Food and Drug Administration's strict requirements, most notable of which are the adherence to product quality and for having an environment-friendly product-packaging-process, achieved though the company’s sustainability project, UR Green.

In winning the Outstanding Healthy Food Product Manufacturer award, an accolade it first clinched in 2020, URC Thailand was lauded for its quality inspection and assurance program, its compliance with food safety rules, and its corporate social responsibility and sustainability program.
The company’s Dewberry Puff Cake Orange, meanwhile, earned the award for Outstanding Healthy Food Product under the Local Ingredients Supporter category, as 90% of the popular snack’s ingredients are sourced from Thailand-based suppliers.

URC Thailand has been operating since 1992 and has stayed true to its parent company’s core purpose to “delight everyone with good food choices.” It produces some of Thailand’s top snacks under the Jack ‘n Jill megabrand, including Roller Coaster, Dewberry, Fun-O, Tivoli, Cream-O, Lausanne, Dynamite, and Lush.
The two FDA Quality awards are just the latest in the company’s string of awards and citations for its quality products, conducive work environment, and push toward sustainability and clean energy.
