There’s Good News for SSS Members at These Soon-to-Open Robinsons Malls

The continuing partnership between Robinsons Land Corporation and SSS results in four new additional SSS Service Assistance Offices across the country.

All over the Philippines, Robinsons Malls branches provide mall goers a place to shop, dine, and relax. But that’s not all—thanks to its joint agreement with several government agencies, the various Robinsons Malls have become a place where Filipinos from all walks of life can enjoy easy and convenient processing of their government-related transactions. Recently, Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC) further strengthened its longstanding partnership with the Social Security System (SSS) with a Memorandum of Agreement that will see the establishment of four new SSS Service Offices this year at Robinsons Malls branches now under construction across the country.

The four new SSS Service Offices will be established soon at Robinsons Place Iligan and Robinsons Place Ormoc, as well as in soon-to-open Robinsons Malls including Robinsons Galleria South (San Pedro, Laguna) and Robinsons Place Bataan. These will increase the number of SSS Service Offices from 32 to 36, along with the three SSS Branch offices currently found in Robinsons Galleria-Ortigas, Robinsons Novaliches, and Robinsons Galleria Cebu with the addition of two new Branch offices at Robinsons Place Tuguegarao (Cagayan) and Robinsons Place Valencia (Bukidnon).

Robinsons Land Corporation’s fruitful partnership with the SSS began in 2012, when it signed the original Memorandum of Agreement running for three years. In that span, it opened 25 SSS Members Assistance Desks which offered the following services: SSS forms issuance; receiving of applications for membership, benefits and loans; receiving of contributions and loan collection lists, issuance of SSS number for employees and the self-employed; and status verification of membership, contribution, salary loan and claims. In 2015, the MOA was renewed for five years where RLC offered six additional Robinsons Malls sites for SSS to open more SSS Services Offices.

This year’s expansion agreement was recently signed by RLC President Frederick D. Go with SSS President and CEO Emmanuel F. Dooc, witnessed by RLC Commercial Centers Division SVP and General Manager Arlene G. Magtibay and SSS Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Counsel Voltaire P. Agas. Commenting on the strengthening of RLC’s partnership with the SSS, Mr. Go said, “Our latest agreement with the SSS further demonstrates Robinsons Land’s long-term commitment to provide Filipinos with hassle-free government services, especially though our Robinsons Malls Lingkod Pinoy Center. We hope and envision that the establishment of the six new SSS Service Offices in several previously underserved communities will help fellow Filipinos.”

A public service program of Robinsons Land Corporation, Robinsons Malls Lingkod Pinoy Center is the Philippines’ first and biggest shopping center facility that brings together all the government departments and agencies most relevant to the communities where Robinsons Malls are located. At present, there are 18 participating government departments and  agencies, which are: Bureau of Immigration (BI), Commission on Elections (COMELEC), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), Land Registration Authority (LRA), Land Transportation Office (LTO), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Philippine Health Insurance (PHILHEALTH), Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost), Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG Fund); Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Social Security System (SSS), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Authority (TIEZA); Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA); and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA). There are currently 37 Robinsons Malls Lingkod Pinoy Centers nationwide with five more opening soon in Tuguegarao, Valencia, San Pedro, La Union, and Bataan. That’s very good news indeed.
