Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, many hotels around the world have been made to function far beyond their original intention, that of providing all aspects of hospitality to their guests. Today, hotels have become a safe haven, providing shelter and refuge in this time of crisis. From sheltering healthcare workers to providing additional beds for overwhelmed hospitals, hotels also serve as a “home away from home” not just for returning OFWs, but also to those who are medically considered as Persons Under Investigation and Persons Under Monitoring.
Here in the Philippines, local governments have been working with hotels to transform their buildings into makeshift care facilities or quarantine centers, while some hospitals have elevated the quality of care they offer by accommodating clients/patients awaiting lab test results in select hotels.
One such medical institution, The Medical City in Ortigas, has partnered with Robinsons Hotels and Resorts to provide a seamless and convenient healthcare experience for every Filipino with its Hotel and Travel Care Packages.
The Hotel Care Package 1 is recommended for those who plan to have their Enhanced Chemiluminescence Immunoassay (ECLIA) antibody test done at The Medical City. This high sensitivity and high specificity antibody test is used to identify individuals with an adaptive immune response to SARS-CoV-2, indicating a recent or prior infection. As the test result is released within 24 hours, the patient has the option to wait for the results in comfort at Summit Hotel Magnolia and Go Hotels Ortigas Center, which are approximately 20 minutes and 8 minutes away, respectively, from The Medical City.
Enjoy an overnight stay in a single occupancy room with highspeed Wi-Fi and cable TV for only P4,750 net (JG Summit, Robinsons Land, and Robinsons Hotels & Resorts employees are entitled to a discounted rate of P4,550 per night). Packed meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included. Should you choose to extend your stay for another night, payment of an additional P2,500 is required.
Package 2 (three days/two nights) is priced at P11,000 net for a single occupant (P10,650 for JG Summit, Robinsons Land, and Robinsons Hotels and Resorts employees). It includes the same elements as Package 1, but for a longer stay period. Package 2 is ideal for those who are required to take the RT-PCR test—considered the gold standard for confirming the presence of SARS-CoV-2—where the results are released after two days.
The Travel Care Package, on the other hand, is designed for OFWs, seafarers and balikbayans, who are required to undergo the RT-PCR swab test and wait for their test results and clearance before they are allowed to return home.
For P12,300 net per person (single occupancy), services include private car pickup service from airport to hotel or hotel to airport; a two-night stay in a single room, full board (packed meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner), high-speed Wi-Fi and cable TV.
Under the new normal, Robinsons Hotels and Resorts has elevated its standard of hygiene and cleanliness protocols with the “Circle of Clean” seal. Based on World Health Organization and Department of Health’s new normal protocols, Circle of Clean provides a worry-free stay experience for guests, being implemented from pre-arrival to post-departure touchpoints at all Go Hotels and Summit Hotels and Resorts around the Philippines.

You will receive confirmation of your booking and your Covid-19 test schedule, which you can present at the airport.
