The John Gokongwei, Jr. Innovation Center (JGIC) was officially launched at De La Salle University’s Laguna Campus on the morning of January 11, 2019, with a simple ceremony. Along with top officials, administrators, and faculty of the university, the event was attended by members of the Gokongwei family and officers from the Gokongwei Brothers Foundation.

The building, a four-storey facility that aims to be a major hub of multimedia gaming revolution and interactive entertainment in the ASEAN region, is named after the visionary founder of JG Summit Holdings, John Gokongwei, Jr., who earned his Masters in Business Administration in 1977 from De La Salle University.

Made possible by a grant from the Gokongwei Brothers Foundation, the world-class facility currently houses the Philippine studio of international gaming giant, Ubisoft.
