Aviation Partnership Philippines (Aplus) Manager for Marketing, Business Development & Analytics Jeffrey S. Magadia brought home the MRO Leadership of the Year award at the 2025 Aviation Week MRO Asia-Pacific Awards, marking another notch on the belt of the Philippines’ largest line maintenance provider. Aplus won Marketing Campaign of the Year at the same awards event in 2023, making Magadia’s win this year a testament to the company’s consistency in delivering world-class work. The awards were held last September 15, 2025 at the Equarius Hotel, Resorts World Sentosa, Singapore.
Aviation Week is one of the world’s most enduring leaders in multimedia information and solutions within the aviation industry, with a presence that spans more than 100 years. The MRO Asia-Pacific Awards is an annual event celebrating the region’s top performers in the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) industry, now on its sixth year. Aplus, a Cebu Pacific wholly owned subsidiary, has been at the forefront of MRO in the Philippines and in Southeast Asia, servicing over 40 regional and local airlines as of this writing.
Magadia is widely recognized as a rare hybrid in the industry, blending the technical expertise of an aircraft maintenance professional with the strategic foresight of a business leader. His ability to bridge operations and executive direction has helped transform Aplus into the industry leader it is today.

“This is more than an individual accolade. It is a testament to what trust, teamwork, and shared purpose can achieve. It is a testament to what trust, teamwork, and shared purpose can achieve,” Magadia said in his acceptance speech, sharing that he believes every milestone, achievement, and every breakthrough this award represents the power of unity.
Aplus’ plans include expanding into specialized service sectors, reimagining turnarounds with improved data-driven technology, and building a culture where innovation is treated as a part of the hangar air.
“This award has reminded me that leadership is never about position or title. True leadership is measured by how you work with people beyond your direct command, and how you inspire and influence those who do not report to you. That, to me, is the power of genuine leadership,” Magadia added.
Aplus General Manager Rico M. Ugdoracion shared on his LinkedIn post that this award goes beyond recognition, but is an inspiring story of growth, a call for young leaders to rise, shine, and contribute to the success of the aviation industry. Aplus’ greatest strength has always been its people, whom the company regards as the heart behind every milestone.
As Aplus continues to expand its capabilities and pursue new innovations, it remains committed to being a trusted partner in driving excellence that keeps aviation moving forward while fueling even grander opportunities for the people it supports.
