Best for Bikers: Robinsons Place Antipolo Wins at the Mobility Awards 2021

The mall is among the most bicycle-friendly establishments in the country

Robinsons Place Antipolo recently emerged as a Nationwide Winner in the Most Bicycle-Friendly Large Commercial Establishment category at the Mobility Awards 2021.

Nominees for this year’s Mobility Awards are ranked according to five criteria, which are Infrastructure, Integration, Implementation, Innovation, and Inclusivity.

Under the Infrastructure and Innovation criteria, Robinsons Place Antipolo was lauded for creating a  secure bike parking area, complete with bike racks and self-service repair stations.

The mall also received high ratings for Integration and Implementation for its partnership with the local government of Antipolo and cycling organizations in endorsing biking as a way of commuting or for wellness reasons.  Robinsons Place Antipolo was also cited in the area of Inclusivity, as it provided senior citizens and PWDs with bike facilities.

With vehicle traffic in Metro Manila and its environs nearly back to their pre-pandemic levels, the advocacy to promote alternative methods of transportation is more relevant than ever. In this light, Robinsons Place Antipolo continues to promote cycling as a reliable, efficient, and environment-friendly mode of transportation, while at the same time prioritizing the safety and wellbeing of the growing ranks of biking enthusiasts.

The Mobility Awards is organized by the Institute for Climate and Sustainable Cities, MNL Moves, The Climate Reality Project Philippines, 350.org Pilipinas, and the Pinay Bike Commuter Community together with 25 regional partners. First held in 2020, the awards recognize the efforts of Philippine local governments, workplaces, and commercial establishments to promote cycling as a “reliable, efficient, and sustainable mode of transport among their constituencies, customers, employees, and communities.”
