Cebu Pacific, the Philippines’ leading carrier, marked Migrant Workers Day with a series of initiatives throughout June to assist overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), including the opening of a one-stop airport facility in Cebu and recognition activities across several international markets.
Making Airport Journeys Easier
On June 26, CEB joined the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and Aboitiz InfraCapital Cebu Airport Corporation (ACAC) in opening an OFW Facilitation Center at Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) Terminal 2.

The facility, located at the arrivals level near the pick-up area, serves returning and transiting OFWs. It allows them to process their Overseas Employment Certificates and complete other essential government transactions in one location. By bringing these services together, the center provides OFWs with a more convenient airport experience.
Recognizing OFWs Across Key Markets
The carrier also honored five OFWs with the CEB Values Award during the Philippine Tourism Festival organized by Philippine Alliance in Hong Kong. The event coincided with the airline’s celebration of 25 years of serving the city.
Held for the second time in Hong Kong, the awards recognize individuals who exemplify the company’s values of Trust, Integrity, Courage, Service, and Best of Filipino Spirit. Each recipient received roundtrip international flight tickets.

Beyond the awards presentation, CEB partnered with Philippine diplomatic missions in Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Riyadh, and Vietnam to raffle off roundtrip international tickets, giving more OFWs the opportunity to travel across the airline’s international network.
“Every route we operate is about more than connecting destinations. It is about connecting people with opportunities and the loved ones that matter most. Overseas Filipino Workers have been an important part of Cebu Pacific’s story, and we want to support them not only through affordable flights, but by making travel more convenient and recognizing the remarkable resilience, dedication, and sacrifice they demonstrate every day,” said Candice Iyog, CEB Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer.
