Universal Robina Corporation (URC) continues to offer some of the Philippines’ favorite food and beverages, with five of its flagship brands among the country’s top performers in the 2025 Brand Footprint Report. The annual report, created by global consulting firm Worldpanel by Numerator, identified Great Taste, C2 Cool & Clean, Piattos, Nissin, and Payless among the most frequently chosen brands by Filipinos.
Every year, the Brand Footprint Report provides a ranking of the Philippines’ most chosen FMCG brands. By computing each brand’s “consumer reach points” (CRP)—a metric that measures a brand's strength based on how many shoppers are buying the brand and how often they do it—Worldpanel is able to identify which manufacturers are among the most-preferred in the market. The 2025 report showed that Great Taste, C2, Piattos, Nissin, and Payless have the highest CRPs in their category.
Great Taste ranked 10th overall across all FMCG categories with a total of 367 million CRPs in the Philippines, while also ranking 4th in the Beverage category. C2, one of the country’s pioneers in ready-to-drink green tea, made it to the Top 15 among beverages, with a score of 33 million CRPs putting it in 14th place.
In the Food category, top-ten brand Piattos scored 180 million CRPs, which placed it as the 7th most-chosen among its competitors. Nissin ranked 14th with 101 million CRPs, while Payless’ 73 million CRPs placed it among the Top 20 at 19th place.
“The results of this study show that our brands continue to earn the trust and loyalty of Filipino consumers,” said URC Chief Marketing Officer Karen Ong. “We’re proud that our products remain staples in homes across the country,” she added.
According to Worldpanel, there was a 6 percent increase in consumer spending on FMCG products throughout 2024, thanks to an economic rebound.
“With more time spent out and about and an easing of inflation, Filipinos shop more often. This means more opportunities for each brand to be bought.” explained Marie-Anne Lezoraine, Managing Director for Worldpanel by Numerator in the Philippines.
“Brands that remained visible and accessible during this recovery period saw stronger gains in consumer engagement,” said Ong. “URC’s portfolio clearly benefited from that momentum.”
Alongside Great Taste, C2, Piattos, Nissin, and Payless, URC produces other iconic Filipino brands like Maxx candy and Cream-O cookies, with its food and beverage offerings being beloved staples in the country’s households, and with a growing presence in the ASEAN region.
