GoTyme Bank is one of the first Philippine banks to support Apple Pay, giving its customers a convenient and secure way to pay using Apple devices. The service, launched in August 2026, builds on the bank’s record of introducing innovations that simplify banking for Filipinos.
”At GoTyme Bank, we're constantly looking for ways to make banking more seamless for our customers. Bringing Apple Pay to GoTyme Bank customers in the Philippines gives them an easy and secure way to pay wherever they shop," said Nate Clarke, CEO of GoTyme Bank.
Apple Pay joins GoTyme Bank’s earlier innovations in account opening, money transfers, and debit-card rewards. Its pioneering kiosks allow customers to open an account and receive a free debit card in five minutes or less, with bank ambassadors available to guide them.

Conveniently accessible in popular retail stores and supermarkets, the kiosks brought banking into places where many Filipinos already shop. Visa, a global leader in digital payments, recognized the bank’s instant debit-card issuance with its “Best Innovation on Card Acquisition” citation, announced in January 2023. To date, GoTyme has issued more than 10 million Visa debit cards to customers.
Its integration of Go Rewards into debit-card spending gave customers another way to get value from their purchases, including transactions done online and overseas. Points can be used at partner stores or converted into cash through the app. The offering earned GoTyme Bank the Philippines’ Debit Card Initiative of the Year award at the 2023 Asian Banking and Finance Retail Banking Awards.

In June 2026, GoTyme Bank was a launch partner for Garmin Pay in the Philippines, enabling customers to pay with compatible Garmin smartwatches at Visa contactless terminals without carrying a phone or wallet. Better still, eligible purchases earn Go Rewards points.
Those debit-card rewards also apply to purchases made through Apple Pay. Customers can make contactless payments using an iPhone or Apple Watch at compatible terminals, or shop in apps and on websites using supported iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices. The service also reduces the need to enter card and billing details at checkout.
For customer security, transactions are authorized through Face ID, Touch ID, or a passcode, while Apple Watch users confirm purchases by double-clicking the side button. Each transaction uses a unique security code, while actual card numbers are kept off the device and Apple’s servers, with an encrypted, device-specific account number used instead.
To start using the service on an iPhone, customers can open Apple Wallet, select the plus sign, and follow the prompts to add their GoTyme Bank debit card.
