JG Summit Included among TIME’s World’s Best Companies 2025

JG Summit Holdings, Inc. is one of only 10 Filipino companies to make the prestigious list.

JG Summit Holdings, Inc. has once again proven to be one of the Philippines’ most exemplary businesses, with an inclusion in TIME Magazine’s 2025 World’s Best Companies list. The annual report compiles data from across the world to determine 1000 companies that are “forging the path into the future” based on three key metrics: employee satisfaction, revenue growth, and sustainability transparency. The recognition marks JG Summit’s first-ever inclusion in the list, the third since TIME established the report in 2023. The list was created in partnership with global data platform Statista.

JG Summit’s inclusion in the list resulted from a rigorous deliberation process involving each of the three key metrics. Employee satisfaction, for instance, was measured via surveys with over 200,000 employees from around the world on matters like working conditions, salary, and equality. The revenue growth metric required companies to meet a minimum revenue of USD100 million in 2023 or 2024, and to have consistently demonstrated positive growth over the last three years. Sustainability transparency was measured based on a company’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) data, which included Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) reports and the companies’ Carbon Disclosure Project scores.

According to TIME, companies that made it to this year’s rankings also benefitted heavily from innovations utilizing artificial intelligence (AI). JG Summit has long embraced ethical and strategic use of the technology, leveraging it to boost efficiency and overall performance across multiple business units. GoTyme Bank, for instance, has invested in the technology to automate tasks like research, lead generation, and fraud detection, which in turn has contributed to the bank reaching a milestone 2 million customers in 14 months. Earlier this year, Cebu Pacific became the first airline in Southeast Asia to fully integrate generative AI across its customer support channels, allowing for enhanced customer interactions at every touchpoint.

JG Summit Holdings, Inc.’s performance over the recent evaluation period achieved an overall score of 73.13, placing the conglomerate at the 949th rank among the 1000 best-performing companies in the world. Earlier in March 2025, JG Summit also placed 265th out of 500 in TIME’s inaugural Asia-Pacific Best Companies report, alongside strategic business units Cebu Pacific Air (178th) and Universal Robina Corporation (329th).

These recognitions place each organization in truly elite company, with only 10 Filipino businesses making it into the global list, and only 29 Filipino businesses in the Asia-Pacific list.
