JG Summit Holdings, Inc. has been named among Forbes’ World’s Best Employers for 2026, based on employees’ assessments of their workplaces.
The conglomerate is one of eight Philippine companies on this year’s list covering 52 countries and ranks fifth among the local firms included. Compiled by Forbes in partnership with market research firm Statista, the ranking recognizes 900 companies, with JG Summit placing No. 238 in the global ranking.
To compile the list, Forbes and Statista surveyed employees of multinational corporations with more than 1,000 workers through independent, anonymous surveys. Participants assessed compensation, career advancement, work-life balance, benefits and training, among other criteria, and indicated whether they would recommend their employer to family and friends. Their responses were considered alongside data from the previous three years, with greater weight given to recent feedback and evaluations from current employees.
“We appreciate Forbes and Statista for recognizing JG Summit among the world’s best employers. For us, being a strong employer means giving people a clear sense of how they can grow here. Employees should know what opportunities are available, what skills they need to develop and how their managers can help them move forward,” said Gully Go, JG Summit Chief Human Resources Officer. “That is why we continue to invest in career conversations, individual development plans, learning programs and recognition for good work. We know these efforts are working when employees can identify a path forward and feel supported as they pursue it.”
At JG Summit’s Corporate Center and the Group’s strategic business units including Universal Robina Corporation (URC), Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC), and Cebu Pacific (CEB), the adoption of Individual Development Plans reached 82% in 2025, exceeding the 75% target. These plans, along with regular feedback and leadership programs, help employees identify their next steps and prepare for greater responsibilities.
The conglomerate also invests in learning opportunities that help employees build the skills needed for those roles. Its 2025 Annual and Sustainability Report recorded 862,098 training hours across its strategic business units as well as the Corporate Center, with a reported average of 38.08 hours per employee. The September 2025 Learning Festival, a group-wide learning event, brought 1,668 participants together for talks and workshops led by company leaders, external experts and colleagues from across the conglomerate. Sessions covered leadership, digital transformation, sustainability and innovation.
As employees put their skills to work, their contributions can be acknowledged through the Corporate Center Unit’s Recognition Program. Similarly, the bi-annual Pride in Performance Awards celebrate teams and initiatives that demonstrate the Group’s values and contribute to business excellence, innovation, sustainability and long-term growth.

These development and recognition programs sit alongside practical support for employees’ health and well-being, such as mental health consultations, stress-management sessions and financial-literacy webinars. Fitness challenges and group activities also give colleagues opportunities to stay active and connect outside their daily work routines.
Forbes previously named JG Summit among Asia’s Fab 50 Companies in 2012 and Asia’s 200 Best Over a Billion in 2019. The conglomerate has also appeared multiple times in the publication’s Global 2000 ranking. In 2025, TIME included JG Summit in its World’s Best Companies list, which assessed employee satisfaction alongside revenue growth and sustainability transparency.
