Lights Out: Robinsons Malls Joins Earth Hour

Robinsons Malls joins the worldwide energy and environmental awareness campaign on March 30, 2019

On March 30, 2019, at 8:30 p.m., Robinsons Malls will be switching off its lights, joining the worldwide energy conservation and environmental awareness campaign known as "Earth Hour."

It all began in 2007, when the city of Sydney, Australia, shut off its lights on March 31 at 7:30 p.m. as a way to raise awareness on the effects of climate change among Australians. The following year, the campaign became a global phenomenon, with 35 countries and 400 cities participating in the event. More than 170 countries have joined Earth Hour festivities in recent years, with 1,200 tourist landmarks such as San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge, Paris' Eiffel Tower, and Rome's Colosseum, as well as 40 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, all going dark for the event.

In the Philippines, Robinsons Malls is doing its part with Earth Hour Activities at the following malls: Robinsons Place Antipolo, Robinsons Place Dasmariñas, Forum Robinsons, Robinsons Galleria-Ortigas, Robinsons Place General Trias, Robinsons Place Ilocos, Robinsons Place Imus, Robinsons Place Las Piñas, Robinsons Place Lipa, Robinsons Magnolia, Robinsons Place Malolos, Robinsons Metro East, Robinsons Novaliches, Robinsons Place Naga, Robinsons Place Palawan, Robinsons Place Pangasinan, Robinsons Place Santiago, Robinsons Starmills, Robinsons Tagaytay, and Robinsons Place Tuguegarao.
