Robinsons Logistix and Industrials, Inc. (RLX), Robinsons Land’s logistics and industrial arm, has partnered with Robinsons Retail Holdings, Inc. for the development of a “big box” facility for Shopwise, Robinsons Retail’s value-driven supermarket brand. The project is set to rise in Sierra Valley Destination Estate in Cainta, Rizal.
“Designed to serve both the growing local community and visitors to the estate on Ortigas Avenue Extension, this project reinforces RLX’s role as a builder of scalable, high-impact retail infrastructure,” said Cora Ang Ley, Senior Vice President and Business Unit General Manager of RLX.
According to Ang Ley, the development exemplifies Robinsons Land’s push into new standalone formats that complement its core portfolio and broaden recurring income streams.

Already known for its Grade A logistics properties, RLX recently branched out into the development and construction of big box facilities, a format defined not simply by size, but by function. Globally associated with warehouse-inspired retail models such as Walmart, Costco, Carrefour, and Aldi, big box stores are designed for high-volume, high-efficiency operations and value-forward merchandising. Larger than a standard Philippine supermarket, the format supports bulk purchases and everyday value, making it especially relevant to expanding middle-income households and small business owners.
Shopwise’s big box will be built on a site of over 7,000 square meters, with 5,000 square meters of gross leasable area. Construction is expected to be completed in the first half of 2027, with the store scheduled to open in the third quarter.
Groundbreaking ceremonies were recently held onsite, bringing together key officers of Robinsons Land and Robinsons Retail, as well as local government officials.
Sierra Valley is an integrated destination estate where retail, residences, workspace, and logistics converge, anchored by the planned Robinsons Sierra Valley Mall and The Shops at Sierra Valley, and complemented by Sierra Valley Gardens—a master-planned residential enclave—and RLX’s Grade A logistics facilities.
The project supports Robinsons Land’s Vision 5-25-50 roadmap by scaling repeatable platforms in key growth corridors. Anchored on five growth levers, the strategy targets PHP25 billion net income by 2030, which marks the company’s 50th anniversary.
With Shopwise Sierra Valley, RLX and Robinsons Land continue to show how Filipino-built brands can help shape modern retail landscapes—serving communities while driving sustainable growth. “This development will serve real needs, strengthen communities and create more opportunities for growth for years to come,” said Ang Ley. “A true commitment to creating developments by the Filipino, for the Filipino.”
