Robinsons Hotels and Resorts (RHR), the hospitality arm of Robinsons Land Corporation, is deepening its engagement with India’s outbound travel market as it welcomes more international guests to its growing Philippine portfolio.
As Indian travelers seek out new regional destinations, the Philippines is emerging as an appealing choice. RHR sees this as an opportunity to welcome a growing market to its array of hotels in key business and leisure destinations.
“The potential is immense,” said Barun Jolly, Senior Vice-President of Robinsons Land and General Manager of Robinsons Hotels and Resorts. “With recently introduced daily direct flights and visa-free access, Manila is just a seven-hour journey away.”
According to Jolly, Indian travelers are increasingly looking for destinations that are stable yet vibrant, accessible, and easy to explore. The Philippines, he added, offers white sand beaches, world-class diving, coral reefs, premium shopping, and island destinations across the country.

To build stronger ties with the market, RHR conducted an extensive sales blitz in India in 2025, engaging travel wholesalers, major MICE operators, and other key travel partners. The initiative allowed the group to present the Philippines as a compelling destination while introducing RHR’s “Hospitality by Heart” service culture and diverse hotel portfolio.
RHR currently operates 30 hotels across 20 key locations, with properties spanning major economic and tourism hubs including Metro Manila, Cebu, and Tagaytay. Its portfolio covers a broad range of segments, from luxury hospitality to essential value, allowing the group to serve different types of travelers and occasions.

To better serve Indian guests, RHR has integrated Indian culinary expertise into selected properties, including Fili Hotel NUSTAR Cebu, Dusit Thani Mactan Cebu, and The Westin Manila. The culinary experts are also supporting a cross-property training program across the RHR portfolio, with plans to introduce regular Indian food festivals in Summit Hotels nationwide.
One of RHR’s recent initiatives in this direction was the “Saffron and Spice” festival at Crowne Plaza Galleria Manila’s Seven Corners restaurant, held in mid-April. The promotion featured a guest chef from Holiday Inn New Delhi and highlighted the flavors of North India, reflecting RHR’s efforts to create more familiar and meaningful dining experiences for Indian guests.
RHR is also preparing its properties for one of the Indian market’s most important travel segments: destination weddings. Dusit Thani Mactan Cebu recently launched a bespoke Indian Wedding Package designed for the scale and traditions of Indian celebrations, supported by the resort’s beachfront setting and event spaces.
Beyond food and events, the group has invested in cultural sensitivity training for frontline staff to help ensure that Indian guests feel welcomed and understood throughout their stay.
To make its homegrown brands more accessible to Indian travelers, RHR is offering a 20% discount at Grand Summit, Summit, Go Hotels Plus, and Go Hotels through the code FLYIND. The offer is available for bookings made through robinsonshotels.com until July 30, 2026. To claim the discount, guests only need to present a valid boarding pass originating from India within seven days from check-in.
The group’s homegrown portfolio also includes Fili, RHR’s Filipino five-star hotel brand, which gives Indian guests a luxury setting where they can experience Filipino culture, design, and service.
As RHR prepares to unveil upcoming properties such as Summit Villas Siargao and Fili Hotel Bridgetowne, the group continues to build partnerships, culinary programs, and cultural initiatives that help welcome more international guests to the Philippines. These efforts support tourism’s role as a key driver of economic growth, creating more opportunities for hotels, destinations, and the communities around them.
