Iloilo residents gained easier access to essential government services when 19 agencies gathered at Robinsons Iloilo for a two-day service caravan on October 6 and 7.
Led by the Department of Finance (DOF), the Government-Owned or -Controlled Corporations’ (GOCCs) Service Caravan brought a wide range of public services under one roof. Visitors to the mall’s Fountain Area could seek assistance with civil registry matters, membership concerns, loan applications, benefits and claims, postal services, vehicle registration, and other government transactions, saving them the trouble of visiting multiple offices. The event was free and open to the public.
Participating agencies included the Social Security System (SSS), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), and Pag-IBIG Fund, alongside financial institutions such as Land Bank of the Philippines and Development Bank of the Philippines.
Held under the theme “Serbisyo sa Bayan, Hatid ng GOCCs, Kaakbay ang DOF,” the Iloilo program followed the first GOCC Service Caravan at Robinsons Manila in 2025. Both events form part of Robinsons Malls’ longstanding collaboration with government agencies.
In his remarks, Fr. Danilo E. Bernal Jr., President and CEO of DBP Leasing Corporation, underscored the value of making public services more accessible and convenient for the community. IMAGE Robinsons Malls
That relationship extends beyond occasional events. Through its Lingkod Pinoy Centers across the country, Robinsons Malls, the Commercial Centers Division of Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC) has long provided dedicated spaces within its properties where Filipinos can transact with government offices while going about their regular activities.
Partnerships such as these show how the private sector can contribute to nation-building in practical ways. By making its commercial centers available to government agencies, Robinsons Land helps connect public institutions with the communities they serve, bringing the promise of progress to life for more Filipinos.
