Robinsons Malls Expands MSME Support Through DTI, DA Trade Fairs

Trade events nationwide connect MSMEs, farmers, and artisans with wider markets and new consumers

Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC), through its nationwide network of Robinsons Malls, is leading sustained efforts to support the growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across the Philippines. Through ongoing partnerships with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Department of Agriculture (DA), Robinsons Malls is conducting a series of regional trade fairs designed to help entrepreneurs and local producers access new markets and grow their businesses.

These collaborations align with the government’s long-term goal of inclusive economic development by providing MSMEs, farmers, and artisans with strategic platforms to showcase their products in high-traffic retail spaces. With over 50 lifestyle centers operating in Metro Manila, Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, Robinsons Malls offers offers wide-reaching access and strong visibility for regional enterprises.

Among the flagship initiatives is Fiesta de Camarines, a multi-month series of themed trade fairs in partnership with DTI Camarines Sur, held exclusively at Robinsons Naga. The series kicked off with Feria de Camarines – Delicioso (April 10–14), which featured local delicacies and handicrafts. This was followed by Muebles (May 29–June 2), showcasing locally made furniture.

The series continues with Uma Usbong (July 16–20), which will highlight crops and agricultural products; Pustoriosa (August 14–18), featuring wearable goods such as clothing, bags, and accessories. The culminating event, La Vida Coco (October 8–12), will spotlight coconut-based products and innovations.

Robinsons Malls is also broadening its social impact through inclusive livelihood programs. In collaboration with the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) and the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of Imus City, the BJMP Trade Fair was held at Robinsons Imus from June 16 to 20. The event provided Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) a platform to sell handmade products and develop entrepreneurial skills that support reintegration into society.

Further supporting the agricultural sector, Robinsons Malls is working with the DA to provide direct-to-market exposure for local farmers. Robinsons North Tacloban hosted an agricultural trade fair from May 20 to 22, with upcoming runs scheduled at Robinsons Iloilo from July 14 to 20 and again from September 23 to 29, reinforcing the importance of bringing farmers and consumers closer together.

Additional MSME events have also taken place in various Robinsons Malls in recent months. The Summerific Trade Fair at Robinsons Antipolo (April 30–May 9) highlighted products from Rizal Province, while Robinsons Tacloban hosted its own regional showcase from May 12 to 18. In Cebu, Robinsons Galleria Cebu is running a monthly MSME fair from April through July under the “RCebu” banner, celebrating the diversity and creativity of local entrepreneurs. A year-end MSME event is scheduled at Robinsons Roxas from December 1 to 8.

“We recognize the essential role of MSMEs in the Philippine economy. Robinsons Malls is proud to provide platforms that help these businesses reach a wider audience and grow,” said Joel S. Lumanlan, Robinsons Malls Vice President for Marketing and Operations. “Our malls function not only as lifestyle centers but also as gathering places for the community—places where local entrepreneurs can connect with consumers, and where regional culture and enterprise come together. Through our partnerships with the DTI, the DA, various LGUs and more, we’re helping strengthen local economies and contribute meaningfully to the communities where we operate.”

In the coming months, Robinsons Malls aims to scale these efforts by deepening public-private partnerships and enhancing support for grassroots entrepreneurship. As it continues to expand its presence across the country, the company is strongly positioned to promote regional industries and contribute to broader economic growth throughout the Philippines.
