Robinsons Malls Secures Two Major Wins at the 2025 Retail Asia Awards

RLC’s mall strategy earns global praise for focusing on innovation, design, and community

Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC) through its Commercial Centers Division, is redefining how retail spaces engage communities across the Philippines. This forward-looking approach was recently recognized at the 2025 Retail Asia Awards, where RLC earned top honors for its bold, customer-driven mall development strategy.

During the ceremony held on June 4, 2025, at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Robinsons Malls was recognized with two major distinctions: New Mall of the Year for Opus, its upscale lifestyle destination in Metro Manila, and Regional Mall of the Year for Robinsons Antipolo, a vibrant community hub in Rizal.

The recognition reflects the strength of leadership driving RLC’s mall strategy, led by President and CEO Mybelle Aragon-GoBio and Robinsons Malls Executive Vice President and Business Unit General Manager Faraday Go. Through thoughtful design, innovative concepts, and a sharp understanding of evolving consumer lifestyles, RLC is redefining the mall experience in the Philippines. As the country’s retail landscape continues to change and grow, the company stands out for creating spaces that foster community, elevate daily living, and respond to the evolving needs of modern Filipinos.

Launched in July 2024, Opus in Bridgetowne Destination Estate has quickly become a benchmark for next-generation mall development. Spanning 148,000 square meters across five levels, Opus integrates luxury, leisure, and lifestyle through pioneering formats like Spatio, a hybrid retail-wellness-grooming concept, and Maisonette, a curated multi-brand boutique with a café. Opus also features standout experiences such as the Opus Premier Cinema and the country’s first inclusive Family Cinema. Dining anchors include global names like St. Ali, Il Lupino Prime, and the much-anticipated Dave & Buster’s, all making their Philippine debut at Opus, solidifying its role as a top-tier gastronomic and entertainment hub.

Meanwhile, Robinsons Antipolo was recognized for its role in integrating modern lifestyles with local culture. Designed with open-air spaces, pet-friendly zones, and a dynamic mix of homegrown and international tenants, the mall has evolved into a central gathering place for Rizal’s growing community. It regularly hosts school programs, city parades, livelihood fairs, and even weddings, highlighting its role as a living part of the region’s cultural and economic life.

“Opus and Robinsons Antipolo embody our vision for modern malls—beautifully designed, thoughtfully curated and deeply connected to the evolving needs and lifestyles of our customers,” said Faraday Go. “These recognitions affirm our commitment to creating spaces that inspire, engage, and elevate everyday life.”

Organized by Singapore-based Charlton Media Group, the Retail Asia Awards honor the region’s most outstanding retailers and groundbreaking initiatives each year. For RLC, the accolades highlight its growing influence in reimagining the Filipino mall: one that is refined yet inclusive, and always community-driven.
