Recognizing the dedication, selflessness, and heroism of our nation’s medical frontliners as they continue the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, Robinsons Retail Holdings, Inc.’s The Marketplace recently held separate food drives in support of these modern-day heroes.
Approximately 900 medical frontliners from Mandaluyong Medical Center, San Lazaro Hospital, and Philippine General Hospital were provided with free breakfasts during three CSR activities organized by The Marketplace’s Marketing and Merchandising Team, led by Marketing Manager Felin Inolino. The complimentary breakfasts for doctors, nurses, and other frontline hospital staff included a beef tapa meal, a bottle of water, and a cup of Nestle Yogurt.
The free breakfast programs, which took place between July and August, were an offshoot of an earlier food donation drive which benefited The Marketplace employees from 32 stores nationwide who were affected by the enhanced community quarantine. “The store people were so happy and thankful that their head office teammates were there to support them during those difficult times. Because of that, we are inspired and committed to extend this effort to our medical frontliners to express our deep appreciation for their daily sacrifices,” said Inolino. She continued, “I am proud how The Marketplace team and our partners have come together to show our heartfelt gratitude to our healthcare practitioners who tirelessly devote their time and energy to save our people, and we will continue with our mission to express how grateful we are to them, one meal at a time.”
