RBank donated tablets to deserving schoolchildren for their online schooling needs

During the Christmas season, Robinsons Bank sought to fulfill its promise of a brighter future for every Filipino by helping children with their educational needs. This was accomplished through a donation of computer tablets to schoolchildren in various communities around the country.


“Many families are still struggling with the setup of remote learning, whether it is the lack of a gadget to use or difficulty in accessing the internet. We wanted to provide support to these children so they can continue with their education and achieve the brighter future they deserve,” said Robinsons Bank President Antonio Sarte, explaining the rationale behind the donation. He added, “Our strong advocacy on financial literacy for children has led us to witness their eagerness and passion for learning. It would be disheartening to know that there are children out there who want to keep learning but have no means to. So, we pushed for this initiative to really help those children in need.”  


The donated tablets are expected to help the recipients cope with the online requirements for the coming school year. Along with the tablets, the children received sim cards which can be used to access the internet for their online schooling in lieu of RBank’s traditional corporate giveaways.

Despite the stern challenges faced in the previous year, initiatives such as these demonstrate that RBank’s passion for excellent service and commitment to fulfilling the needs of the Filipino people are stronger than ever.
