Robinsons Land Strengthens Partnership with Meralco for Future Developments

Collab provides energy-efficient solutions that are environmentally friendly, economically viable

Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC) announced the continuation of its strong partnership with Manila Electric Company (Meralco) to ensure reliable and sustainable power solutions for its existing and upcoming projects.

Through a recent executive engagement, Meralco presented a comprehensive development plan that addresses the specific power needs of RLC’s commercial and residential developments. This includes providing timely energization for key projects like Sierra Valley in Rizal and The Jewel in Mandaluyong City, both scheduled for completion by 2026.

RLC’s collaboration with Meralco involves initiatives to boost operational efficiency and sustainability. Various projects undertaken over the past five years include:

  • The installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems at NUSTAR Resort and Casino, facilitated by Meralco's solar subsidiary, MSpectrum.
  • Equipping several Robinsons Malls with electric vehicle charging stations through Meralco's sustainable mobility arm, Movem Electric, Inc. (Movem).
  • Participation in the government's Interruptible Load Program (ILP) with 10 Robinsons Malls located within Meralco's franchise area. Through this program, RLC contributes 31 MW of de-loading capacity, helping to alleviate unplanned power interruptions for households and small businesses.
