Living up to the slogan "Live Sustainability. Live URC," URC Vietnam is driving innovation in sustainability by continuing to integrate eco-friendly practices into its operations. Through a strategic partnership with Faslink, a pioneer in sustainable textile technology, URC Vietnam introduced uniforms crafted from recycled materials to the workplace, proving that fashion can drive positive environmental change.
With over 16 years of expertise in creating environmentally friendly fabrics, Faslink is a recognized leader in the sustainable textile industry. Among its groundbreaking innovations are the Reborn line crafted from recycled materials (including rags, used textiles, and plastic bottles) and the proprietary S.Café technology, in which fibers are created from used plastic bottles and coffee grounds.
URC Vietnam has embraced these breakthroughs to deliver uniforms that provide tangible benefits for employees. The S.Café fibers, for example, incorporate nano-sized pores to trap odor molecules, keeping uniforms fresh over longer periods of time. These same properties block harmful UV rays and accelerate moisture evaporation for greater comfort in demanding work environments.
As of August 2024, URC Vietnam has distributed over 8,000 sustainable uniforms to its Sales Group and Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) teams. Each uniform is made from approximately eight 1.5L recycled plastic bottles, furthering URC Vietnam's commitment to a circular economy and reducing its environmental impact.
By integrating recycled materials like coffee grounds and plastic bottles into its supply chain, URC Vietnam is setting a new standard for corporate sustainability in Vietnam and beyond. The partnership with Faslink underscores URC Vietnam’s dedication to innovative, eco-conscious solutions that benefit both people and the planet, proving that business success and environmental stewardship can go hand in hand.
