Robinsons Land Corporation was among the big awardees at the eighth edition of the Meralco Luminaries Awards, according to a report in www.powerclub.com.ph, the online version of the energy company’s corporate news publication.

Meralco Deputy CEO Ray Espinosa; Meralco President and CEO Oscar Reyes; Landev Corp. COO Mario Paguio; Robinsons Land Corp. President and CEO Frederick D. Go; Meralco SVP and Head, Customer Retail Services and Corporate Communications, Al Panlilio.

The awards were established in 2011 to recognize the corporate, SME, and LGU partners of the energy corporation who share its vision of nation-building. “We conceptualized and launched the Meralco Luminaries eight years ago, driven by our vision and our commitment to help create a brighter and ever more progressive future for the country,” said Meralco President and CEO Oscar Reyes in his speech during the recent awards night, held at the Rizal Ballroom of the Makati Shangri-La. “But we realized that innovations and technologies alone are not enough to make our vision a reality. The sustainably bright future we envision can only happen with partners who also share in our aspirations. And thus was born the Meralco Luminaries.”

Representing RLC at the event was President and CEO Frederick D. Go. According to the story filed by Coni Tejada, RLC was recognized as a valuable partner of Meralco as it “ensured highly reliable e2e connectivity in Bridgetowne, its up-and-coming development at the corner of C5 and Ortigas Avenue. Spanning both sides of the Pasig River, Bridgetowne is poised to become a master-planned, world-class community when it opens in 2022.”

Other recipients of the Luminaries Award were Landev, the asset and property management arm of the Yuchengco Group of Companies; the cities of Biñan and Makati; Meralco Biz partners Jolliant RNN Corporation, a food services provider for a major convenience store chain; and ChocoVron, a manufacturer of polvoron pastries.
