Learning Festival

The Learning Festival is a Group-wide learning and development initiative organized by the Group to strengthen employee capability, foster collaboration, and promote a culture of continuous learning across its diverse business units. Designed as a platform for knowledge sharing and inspiration, the festival brings together employees, leaders, and external experts to collectively address present and future business challenges.

The Learning Festival featured keynote talks, panel discussions, breakout sessions, and interactive workshops. Topics were carefully curated to address emerging trends and strategic priorities, while interactive elements—including a festival application with gamified features—encouraged engagement, collaboration, and cross-business unit networking.

The September 2025 run involved 1,668 employees, including 1,100 online attendees and 568 onsite participants. Feedback reflected high satisfaction levels, with average ratings of 4.69 for onsite participants and 4.71 for online participants.

Pride in Performance (PIP) Awards

The Pride in Performance (PIP) Awards is a bi-annual, Group-wide recognition program that honors exceptional teams, projects, and initiatives across the Gokongwei Group’s diverse business units. The program celebrates outstanding performance that exemplifies the Group’s core values and contributes meaningfully to business excellence, innovation, sustainability, and long-term growth.

The initiative provides several benefits. For employees and teams, it serves as a platform for recognition, motivation, and pride in their contributions. For the organization, it highlights best practices, showcases high-impact initiatives, and reinforces shared standards of excellence across the Group. The program also supports knowledge-sharing, as award-winning initiatives are often featured in other learning platforms such as the Learning Festival.

The 14th PIP Awards achieved participation of over 5,600 employees, an increase from the previous cycle. Participant satisfaction remained high, with an average rating of 4.71 out of 5, reflecting positive feedback on the event’s organization, execution, and inspirational value.

Group Olympics

The Gokongwei Group Olympics is a Group-wide, internal sports and team-building initiative designed to strengthen employee engagement, promote wellness, and foster camaraderie across the Group’s diverse business units. The program brings together employees through friendly competition and shared experiences, reinforcing a sense of unity and belonging across the organization.

The Gokongwei Group Olympics was executed through a series of organized competitions featuring a wide range of activities to accommodate diverse interests and abilities. These included traditional sports such as basketball, volleyball, badminton, and bowling; strategic and digital competitions such as chess and esports tournaments; and creative events like street dance performances. This varied format ensured broad participation and sustained engagement throughout the program.

The outcomes of the initiative were positive, with the successful completion of seven sports and competition categories and an average satisfaction rating of 4.20 out of 5. Individual events received strong feedback, reflecting positive employee experiences and high levels of engagement and enjoyment.

CCU Recognition Program

The CCU Recognition Program (Darwinbox Vibe) is an internal employee recognition and engagement initiative of the Corporate Center Unit (CCU) under the Group. Enabled by the Darwinbox Vibe digital platform, the program promotes a culture of appreciation by making recognition continuous, peer-driven, and visible across the organization. It recognizes both everyday contributions and outstanding performance, reinforcing behaviors aligned with CCU and Gokongwei Group core values.

The initiative is executed through the Darwinbox Vibe platform, which serves as a centralized hub for recognition and engagement. Employees can send peer-to-peer recognitions, tag core values, and gift GoRewards points. Recognitions appear on a shared social feed where colleagues and leaders can engage through reactions and comments. The program also includes quarterly recognitions for both Top Recognized Employees and Top Recognizers, ensuring balance between performance impact and generosity.

As of the latest reporting period, the program achieved a 75% adoption rate, with 207 employees having sent at least one recognition. Active engagement reached 57%, exceeding the original target, with 117 employees using the platform at least ten times. On average, 253 recognitions were sent per month, reflecting consistent participation and sustained engagement.

SIPAG (Scholars and Interns Program at the Gokongwei Group)

SIPAG (Scholars and Interns Program at the Gokongwei Group) is a talent development and early-career pipeline initiative designed to support students, scholars, and young professionals through education assistance, internships, and meaningful work exposure across the Group’s companies. The program reflects the Filipino value of sipag (diligence), underscoring the Group’s belief in hard work, potential, and inclusive growth.

SIPAG is executed through a combination of scholarship support, internship placements, mentorship, and on-the-job learning opportunities. Participants are immersed in actual projects and teams, gaining firsthand exposure to workplace culture, collaboration, and professional standards. Learning experiences are further enriched through structured activities and interactions with leaders.

The outcomes of the program have been highly positive, with participants reporting strong learning experiences and high satisfaction across different program activities. The initiative has successfully enhanced participants’ readiness for employment while reinforcing the Group’s reputation as a people-first organization.
